The proposed US voter ID requirement for a birth certificate is interesting because it will select for organized people who plan for the future.

That’s not necessarily a bad group of people to cater to.

Or a passport … people who have traveled internationally are also fairly good selection criteria.

I don’t think this is going to work out for the people pushing it the way they think it will.
